This raises some questions. First of all, who is her mother, and where is she now? The loser guy believed her when she said Ayrin was his. So, did he actually sleep with her at some point, or did he just sleep around a lot and believed the first woman who claimed he got her pregnant? Does he even know how babies are made? Why did her mother choose him to look after her? Why did she fake her death to get away from the duke, if she was going to leave the child with someone from the same family, likely leading her back to him? Was that her goal all along?
