In all of the comics that have the same premise as this, the adult is always shocked o confused that the child the original person used to abuse is suspicious of them. Are they really that stupid? And when they realise why the child is behaving in such a way, they just up the ante on the niceness. They never do the first thing that should come to mind – apologise. This is one thing that confuses me the most about these comics. Does the author do it on purpose or do they believe that adults don’t owe apologies to children?
