Her grandma’s portrait was that big n former king was obsessive towards greta n vanessa who had violet eyes, yet how come current king n his sister didn’t recognise mc from the start? Especially with her resemblance with her grandma. Maybe greta ran away when they weren’t born or still kids, that’s why they didn’t know/remember. But seeing the former king’s obsession, they should have at least known about their aunt n her portrait.

prolly that’s the reason why princess vanessa wanted to get married. she felt suffocated too. it was quite lucky that the winterwalds needed that agreement for the railway construction and she needed an escape. a win-win situation
i knew something was off last chapter when grandpa talked about vanessa dying and apparently the first thing he thought about was greta. like, really, your daughter’s dead but you obsessing more over your long-lost sister? this story’s choked full of imceste vibes and it’s kinda ironic that the main couple’s the most distantly related from each other (apart from the duke and duchess)
