So I think she talked about freedom, because despite everything her grandfather is old and will die soon leaving an inheritance for Judith, so she will be able to do what she wants, unlike Josephine, who her father wants her to marry at all costs.

But I would love to see some clothes repeat, it just breaks my immersion a little that she has like a hundred different outfits, that’s just logistically too much, and people, even rich people didn’t do it, hell, they still don’t wear something different every time.
Second, not a fan of explaining the whole scheme ahead of time, Judith should have some genre savvy and realize it only leads to failure.
Third, freedom? What? Judith is constrained in the castle, what kind of freedom is that?
Maybe “Freedom” from being forced to marry someone? We all have our own definition of freedom.
If anything she was free until she met that pain in the a#% grandpa. Judith is fighting for her future, dont act like damsel in distress talking about freedom princess!
Well did she even want that position??? If it wasn’t that old prick caging her in the castle we should’ve already have all those fluffy chapters while Rudie and Judie built their relationship. But instead all we see is that annoying old prick and Luca all tormenting Judie by trying to force their opinion on how she should live and choose someone. 🙄
What does Samuel stand to gain from helping Judith? While it is not definitive, Judith and Rudiger alligned themselves with Victoria, so helping Franz achieve his goals would remove several of Victora’s allies from the board. Not saying he’s an immoral person – we the readers don’t yet know enough about his character – and that he would assist Franz in his nefarious plot, but I don’t see him gaining anything from assisting Judith either.
Sheeesh all this animosity, you don’t even KNOW her!! Kinda makes sense for a princess that doesn’t wanna marry and just live with her family 😬 though that might be too mean
Judith’s life was never easy. She had to raise her sister’s son at a young age. Then she was pushed to unfamiliar Winterwald environment where even maids were gossiping about her.Now when her family is revealed even then she has been confined in this palace away from Rudy. Although royal palace is a safer place for Luca for Judith it isn’t so easy especially with 0 freedom

Excuse me? What freedom? Because from what I can see, everyone is STOPPING her from making her own decision about her marriage! She can’t even leave the palace! She was free until it was discovered who her grandmother was! Now she’s a prisoner in a palace with so-called family as her prison wardens unable to see the person she loves without him risking being charged for treason every time. Judith is not free in any way. This princess has her head in the clouds.

Everyone’s definition of “freedom” is different depending upon the person and their situation, so I can sympathize with the princess on how she feels Judith easily got what she always wanted. But for this instance, I feel like the saying, “Walk a mile in another’s shoes” would be more appropriate here to help understand the situation better. Judith walked very hard and down a very dangerous road to get to where she is and she still has thorns wrapped around her ankles. That’s the price Judith paid for her freedom, so she honestly didn’t get it that easily. But it’s nice to see that the princess can understand now that underneath Judith’s smile is someone who fought hard for her “freedom”. 👍
