I do agree the story does feel a little rushed. But it’s not bad. It just feels like there’s a small lack of sustenance if that makes sense.

Honestly, I feel like the prince is becoming too fond of her too early? Like he used to treat her as a doll–an item to be used. Once she suddenly starts thinking for herself, it’ll put an uncontrolled variable in his plans and he won’t have the same amount of control in order to pursue his goal, which is intrinsically tied to his identity. Since he’s been established to be a tyrant already, I was expecting some more resistance from him. I mean, would people be so easily won over by a single instance that another is capable (aka the birthday scheme)? Not really. I’d expected him to have a tiny bit more resistance before becoming submissive and protective over his sister.
