This chapter makes no sense, the assassins may aswell have killed the princess as itd literally take 3 seconds to slit her throat. Also how did the nanny get between them when they were above her?

You can tell this is filler not from the novel.

I dont remember the kidnapping scene from the novel… Ngl, that part was rather anticlimactic and dumb? Like the kidnappers are clueless. They wanted to kill Cayena but got scared when they injured the maid? They could have easily killed Cayena right then and there (not that I want her dead but yknow what i mean?).

Amazing how among all the adults in this messy family the least terrible one is probably the dad that didn’t give two shits if she lived or died until she unexpectedly turned out to be competent… enough to screw over her brother.

What do you mean it was her fault??? You were the ones who left her alone! Even if you don’t like her, you’re still in charge of taking care of her, it’s your damn job! I can never understand when the maids treat their young masters like this, even if she’s ignored by the emperor and empress she’s STILL an Imperial Princess! Insulting her is the same as insulting the imperial family. The emperor should do something, even if it’s only to not let the royal family be looked down to. Gah I’m so mad. Poor little Cayena 💔
