but anyway-
My perception of Rezef changed from “he’s an horrible monster who needs to be dealt with” to “he’s a pitiful beast who needs to be put out of his misery”.
We already knew that Rezef grew up to be this way because of the Emperor rejecting him as a child. Still doesn’t make me feel any better actually seeing the abuse that turned him into the sadistic person that he would grow into.
Now we see the culmination of all of that darkness and insanity in him…
It goes to show you a few things…
The adults currently in power surrounding the siblings are trash that need to be replaced (Emperor included)…
The siblings both suffered horribly at the hands of their parents….though Rezef more than Kayena…
And…
Despite the horrible past…
Rezef is perpetuating the darkness he received onto others…
So he needs to be punished regardless…
This is a cycle that needs to be broken overall…
and it’ll only end when the adults there get taken out and Rezef removed from the situation…
Kayena has a long road ahead of her…
Sure, he had a terrible childhood; he’s still an a$$.
This all just reminds me how much I hate the adults. Started all cause Empress and Duke are trash that cheat and then the Emperor is just scum as bad to abuse a poor child and then later cheat himself… I hope they all rot in hell lol.
I must say that I do feel bad for what happened to Rezef in the past, but that still doesn’t forgive all his heinousness
