I don’t get it…This chapter made no sense. What Emma said is exactly the truth, so why shouldn’t the Emperor believe it? Also, why no one (Ophelia and Ray included) did mention how this noble kid struck Ophelia? How was he not punished for blatantly lying to the emperor, and by putting blame for something on the princess? Why was Ray supposed to be punished for failing his duty when he didn’t?
Nothing here makes sense from any point of view. This chapter is entirely horrible writing. It’s just making the characters look like brain-dead idiots that do things opposite of very basic logic, not to mention, total opposite of what personalities they have been established with…except for Emma which is somehow consistent.
