Oof, it’s heartbreaking because it feels like such a natural misunderstanding, Judith is a fish out of water and Ruediger is allergic to being clear. It’s so sweet and tragic.
Given how stoic Ruby is and add to that he hasn’t ever been interested in anyone before his absolute inability to properly convey his emotions is more than understandable. Add to that Judy is already keeping her expectations low and is ignorant to how he may treat other ladies the entire situation doesmt feel forced for drama.
