Sorry but FMC should know her brother was a lost cause from the get go. Even in this life he was just as bad and all of this just shows how bad the characteristics have been written. Too much drama for dramas sake. I will say this is better then the novels series of events but they are still woefully inadequetly written with way too many plotholes and choices no assassin would take.

Between the novel and this, this made the part more gut wrenching.
But now she is finally determined to sow despair to her brother.
I believe that the quotes sprinkled all along are that story which is more of a warning and what Mrs Elban wishes for the princess.
I wasn’t expecting such a change in the storyline but at the same time I understand perfectly why such a choice was made.
In the original version Raphael send his men to understand why Cayena sent a letter to a woman he doesn’t know. When they arrive it’s already too late and they only retrieve the letter. Raphael then gives her the letter and tells her the truth while the official reason for her death was suicide.
This is typically a scene that holds power in a novel but doesn’t carry the same weight in a comic or a movie. They must have worked hard to find a solution so the readers can get the intensity of the situation without the descriptions of the novel.
I do hope those who are interested in the story will not get upset by what will happen after. When in need of power to fight back someone who has it all, there are choices you must make and I read nasty comments about this in the past.
Reading the novel, there was a single thing that really bothered me, it was how long she needed to understand that the path she chose could have been avoided.. yet how I live what is going to happen next.
Honestly I was always a bit amazed in how MC was a bit forgiving towards Rezef, the brother that caused her death and left her to die. In this new time-line, MC’s action didn’t really affect him like the other brothers in manwha. Since the beginning, we could clearly see that Rezef wouldn’t go through the typical redemption arc. But now, I’m glad she has woken up
Ok but I’m gonna be honest. Reading this chapter while playing the music moonlight sonata by beethoven here is really got me goosebumps. It makes the emotions, transition and every single details be more perfect ngl.

Holy sht, that was terrifying 😨 The paneling is exquisite, each drawing unsettling and twisted, the prayer that accompanied Cayena’s breakdown, her expressions… She’s finally lost it and she’s out for blood. Rezef is gonna regret this so badly
that.. was amazing, this is probably one of the best chapters I’ve ever read, the amount of emotion that I could feel through this was just insane.

I did not think they would be able to do this part justice…
It’s just that raw of a situation…
That raw of an emotional floodgate…

The artist that worked on this made that come alive to us in the best way possible…
You could see every little nuisance of what she was going through…what she thought…
How she was responding to it…
This just made me want the next chapter that much faster…
That aside…
I’m mixed about how they portrayed that situation here…
The artist and writers for this adaptation knew just how to get to us as the readers…
It upsets me greatly but also awes me at the same time…
This was probably the saddest chapter but one of the most well done chapters so far
(other chapters were great don’t get me wrong…but…the impact this one had on me was a lot stronger than any other one so far…)
Can’t wait to see this continue
