Yeah no I don’t think I’ll be blaming only the Emperor for how vile Rezef is. If that’s the case Cayena would be evil too. Nah, this probably has a lot more to do with the Empress and seeing how she was someone willing to send assassins after her own daughter, I’m thinking Rezef picked those attributes from her.

this chapter was kinda hard to read not only because of the drama but also because of how the scenes were presented. i wish they gave us at least one little panel with a bird’s eye view to show the whole scene bec i really cant tell who’s facing who. How is Raphael surrounded by the goons? Why can’t he fight? How is he talking to Cayena? then suddenly Mrs. Elban is falling off the cliff? i’m legit confused.
I know the prince is obsessive of her, but to kill of the nany, the mother figure of your half sister is really cruel. He will regret that.

They really managed to make it far worse for Cayena.. it was already terrible to read in the novel but that beat it easily..
Raphael’s dedication is truly showing here, he would do anything for Cayena and I’m sure it will slightly change the way she perceives him and Rezef will see red even if he saved his sister from his own men..
The only thing I hope to see now is Jamil’s head flying when Rezef will learn that he threatened to kill his sister.
