you know if either the CP or Dilett had, I dunno, thought about looking into Helga’s only maid they would have found her by now. They would not need the “convenient plot device” of the wand but would have had the “convenient plot device” of the loyal maid (who has found her already albeit by happenstance). Of course the maid didn’t know where she went either so it would have been a dead end if they had only questioned her right after. But I’m still surprised that the CP didn’t have somebody tailing/looking into her already, I mean she did quite her job pretty much at the same time Helga left.
Who in their right mind would call a specific object‘THAT’ ‘THAT’ ‘THAT’ while thinking? I can understand it when she was talking with the prince as someone could listen in on them, but beyond that it’s just lazy writing :/
