The villains in this story are actually stupid. Irene and the emperor literally possess no ability to plan things properly and they have absolutely no tact. Their sloppy, half-assed assassination attempts of Eleanor are proof enough of their stupidity. But I could point out more.

He gave the letter to Skye so that Skye in turn could give it to her…and he followed through with this. Skye got his own personal letter meant for him from Rian as well. This isn’t about dumb characters, this is just a normal scenario that played out as intended without issues.

No…she is just innately that way. She is two-faced, evil, and conniving. Someone like that usually is just born that way rather than learns it. Her father isn’t the same, though we see similar behavior from him later when he not only admits his selfish plans for the two dukedoms but when he also orders Eleanor’s assassination. You could say Irene inherited some unpleasant traits from her father.

Because that wouldn’t be smart. They know there is a bigger picture and culprit beyond Biancasta, and exposing her so soon would only cripple Eleanor in the end. And it turned out true since she discovers later on that Irene is behind the poisoning, not Biancasta.

Is there any news of season 2?! This one is seriously good, the work they did translating it is also out of chart. So well done, such a good story! Very nice characters, the art is AMAZING. I’d feel very sad if there wasn’t going to be a season 2
