Emilia loved Ophelia for who she was truly and fully, because Ophelia loved her to the same extent and even more at some points. I guess Ophelia was worried about Emilia after her death. And Emilia who couldn’t completely love anyone else than Ophelia can’t accept anyone including herself in Ophelia’s place. That might also be one of the main reasons why Emilia left the mansion.
