Finally we have some background on what happened in the marquis’ family after she left. Unpopular opinion here too, but I’m starting to like blondie. He’s an intriguing character and he’s starting to wonder and try to see past MC’s shell. I wouldn’t mind actually if he were the ML.

K, I just have to say it. The writing this chapter was superb. I loved how Cassius sees everything in retrospective, and the wording was flawless too. This series looks like the kind that tipycally has one big secret that is revealed almost at the ending, and when you know it, you feel like reading everything again, knowing the ending of all these “If you only know that…” phrases.
