This mean Pat knows that Ophelia have the Ancient Magic Book (or might be he find out when the Spirit manifested and save Ophelia but as a result the spirit weaken again and since Ophelia “currently Bella” is physically weak the spirit can’t recover inside her body) that’s why he appeared and gave a gift and that is this gemstone that the spirit can use.
Ophelia when purchasing more high quality gemstone accidentally noticec a Mission Board and he found a picture that looks like her thought of that its the real “Bella” its a mission about the Forest but Bella gets accidentally also taken in that very picture “real Bella has been missing for 10years”.
The Duke also found Ophelia (fake-Bella) critically wounded if you think the time when Ophelia block multiple magic and forcefully using magic to shatter the Cage of the Cart she is voming blood and is dying (This is also the time when the Spirit awaken at full power and save Ophelia but as a result become’s weak again and unable to use magic without the gemstone).
Then at the market she only not find some clue about the real Bella, she also found the Beast man “Cat” to be exact the Cat-Beast man has been following Ophelia scent as a result he found Ophelia at the Duke’s Palace but get caught and become a product in thee market (more like black market) but she smell ophelia scent “in manga it said : smelled her Breath” well its scent so its same thing BUT the real issue is both Ophelia & the Cat Beast man is currently now in a different Kingdom the fact that the Cat followed Ophelia scent from the Royal Capital (Empire) to the Ray’s Birthplace “Kingdom/Empire” is a proof that Ophelia did not reincarnate again.
Yes i think she did not reincarnate to be more exactly she is still Ophelia with the same Body the proof are:
#1 She have the Eye’s that only the Royalty of the Empire Have , While the Other country (Ray’s Empire) the Duke family have all Blue-eyes including Bella even in her pictures.
#2 Pat know’s her location even after the funeral, she even personally provided the gemstone needed by the spirit to heal Ophelia.
#3 Bella “Ophelia” is found critically wounded in near death state in a road near the duke’s palace.
#4 Biggest hint, Cat-Beast man followed Ophelia scent travelling from Empire’s Royal Capital to another Country and found her alive.
#5 During the funeral, Emma wanted to check again if Ophelia is really dead (to be exact want to physically check Ophelia’s body in the coffin but Pat reassure her that Ophelia is really dead), later on after the funeral Pat appears on Ophelia’s grave alone after Ray left.
#6 Pat is very much more suspicious that Emma from the very start but it feels like he is a double agent, He is the one who revealed that Ophelia have restriction magic on her, he did send Ophelia into a trap but at the same time he have tracking abilities since he is a holy magic user, He is observing Ophelia during the raid even now he is also helping Ophelia to recover. I think Pat belongs to another faction within the Church who are loyal to the Saintess while the High Priest & the Duke are on Emma’s side.. Obviously since Ophelia is the daughter of the Saintess those loyal to her will protect her, remember the Saintess preparing magic books & magic items for Ophelia? i think that’s not all to it she might also prepared bodyguards for Ophelia within the Church.. She saw her future and the very first one to notice Ophelia’s ability she will prepare more than just tools. Now this also made me think that the reason why he stop Ray from killing Emma instead of attacking or killing Ray which he in pretense for defending a princess but did not, instead he calmly stop Ray. If you think about it if Ray killed Emma Ray getting executed later on is not a big deal the real issue is there’s is finally only one candidate as the new emperor if Emma died the next candidate will be the DUKE (Oh i think i also see now why the Duke gave the Church most precious crystal to Ophelia as a Gift and even ask it as a reward before when finding Emma, The Saintess predicted everything that’s why she used the same exact crystal as a magic tool to unlock a hidden door in Ophelia’s Room she personally turned it to a magic item to communicate with Ophelia in her Birthday) The timing is really confusing plus the fact the reason why the Duke ask it as a reward just to use it as a gift later on except with one explanation (FORESIGHT) of the Saintess, so Pat might be also predicted by the Saintess “most likely hand pick by her follower to protect the daughter of the Saintess”.

Lastly in the public Ray is the one keep protecting Ophelia but in the shadows Pat is the one who’s protecting her.
The real enemy is the Duke, High Priest & Emma w/ the other nobles in their side (which also explain the assassination they only killed nobles who are in favor of Ophelia like the young heir’s who wanted to dance with Ophelia)
EDIT* forgot to add after the teleport incident when Ray & Ophelia are walking w/ the Cat beast man who followed Ophelia, The princess saw a blue priest robe and followed it which resulted in Ray & Ophelia finding out that Pat & his look alike are single person and Emma has deeper connection to Pat but if you look at it now its more like Pat lured Ophelia to the House of Divinity (House of Astrology in other manga site translation) i highly doubt that a skilled tracking is dumb enough to be seen and followed by a princess (since Ray & the Beast man never notice him only Ophelia did) its more like Pat is luring them, Pat even gave a fake name when Ophelia ask Emma his name just to suddenly say that Emma was trick by Ophelia LOL but in reality Pat who lure’s Ophelia to meet Emma who is talking with him is also looks like a Pat tricking Emma while giving hints to Ophelia that Emma is connected to the Church.

I’m surprised that gourmet scans hasn’t updated any more chapters yet, does anyone know if it’s a long break or something?
I think it’s a shame if you suddenly stop now that the story has progressed so far.
