By: Maize of GS
(I will update this list whenever I come across new ones):
1. 마탑 = Magic Tower | 마탑주 = Master of the Magic Tower
↳ 마법 – Magic
↳ 탑 – Tower
↳ 주인 – Master/Owner
2. 여주 = Female Lead/Heroine
↳ 여자 주인공 / 여주인공
3. 남주 = Male Lead
↳ 남자 주인공 / 남주인공
4. 마왕 = Demon King/Devil/Evil Lord
↳ 마법 (Magic) + 왕 (King)
5. 전사 = Warrior
↳ 전투 (Battle) + 사 (Person)
6. 마수 = Magical Beast/Evil Spirit/Monster
↳ 마법 (Magic) + 수 (Beast)
7. 수인 = Werebeast/Shapeshifter (since common dictionaries don’t typically include this alternative meaning, I will provide it here.)
- 수 (獸): This hanja character means “beast” or “animal.”
- 인 (人): This hanja character means “person” or “human.”
You can translate it simply as “shapeshifter” or use specific names based on the animal form, such as “wererabbit” (a human who can transform into a rabbit) or “werefox” (a human who can transform into a fox), etc.
