Helga made the prince wait for her for four years because he was gone four years fighting the war. He should have moved on three years and eleven months ago. It seems like her store would have failed without his secret financial backing to. It’s hard to see any meaning in anything she has accomplished because she didn’t do it on her own, and she could have done so much more if she were the queen.
In her defence, I don’t think it’s necessarily problematic to approach someone you like if they’ve looked single for what, 5 years now? It’s only an issue if she doesn’t accept the rejection gracefully and all she did was ask to sit down next to him which is actually pretty respectful.
