Gotcha. So, Cayena didn’t abandon Rezef. She was barred by the palace guards from interacting with him, but, Rezef didn’t know this, so he naturally assumed she abandoned him.
I wonder if this, plus the myriad of other times the Emperor has abused Rezef that ultimately led him to be the person he would grow up to be?
